by Time Travellers and the Forest of Bowland AONB. This term Kell Bank Primary School will focus on the Masham excavations of Anglo Saxon skeletons with which Kevin was involved in the 1980s. Together with Kevin and members of the Pott and Agill Study Group, the small class of 15 KS2 children will travel to Bradford University to hear from Dr Jo Buckberry who carried out scientific analysis on the bones. Children at Grewelthorpe Primary will follow in the footsteps of their peers at Kirkby Malzeard Primary School and learn about Bog Bodies inspired by the 19c discovery near to the school. They will have a visit from Dr Joann Fletcher, Egyptologist and Bog Body expert and hope to visit Great North Museum: Hancock.
Last term in the Forest of Bowland, Wheatley Lane and St Thomas Barrowford Primary Schools investigated the archaeology of their local area with particular focus on the dry stone walls. Work will continue with St Mary’s Newchurch in Pendle and Roughlee Primary Schools during this term.
