Feedback from Kirkby Malzeard school project 16 Ocober 2009

Comments from class teacher, Mr M Houghton, together with photographs and a report of the project, were published in the Ripon Gazette

“The events have really brought the whole topic of archaeology to life for the children – they have absolutely loved it. It’s so much different to reading it in a book. One thing I thought was interesting was that the children originally thought that stone age man wasn’t very clever but through this project they have got to grips with the idea that these people were very intelligent and so the children have changed their opinion. I give a big thank you to Kevin from Community Archaeology Ltd  and all the adults who have been involved, as it has made for a very interesting half term. On Friday the children presented assembly. It was the children who wanted to hold the assembly. They enjoyed doing the project so much they wanted to share it with the mums and dads and other children at the school.”
