notes[6][0] = " is a small group of practised archaeological diggers, who respond to requests from groups or individuals who have a small site with some interesting features.  When they have assessed the information available, they make a recommendation as to how they consider it best to proceed. The digs are carried out to a high standard and a full report, with suitable records is given to the people who have commissioned the group.  To August 2009, they have been involved with excavation of the remains of a cairn near Great Ayton and a number of features by the moors near Thruscross. They have also assisted with two sites in Nidderdale.  For logistical reasons, they aim to carry out small digs lasting a few days, not major works over a long season.The group meet alternate Thursdays in the afternoon in the rooms below the Court Room Museum at Knaresborough Castle, courtesy of the Local Authority and the Claro Historical Society.
